God Saves Noah by Water
Some choose to view the flood as a cruel and indiscriminate genocide. Alternatively, we can view it as an expression of God’s grace to save mankind from the fate he deserves. God went to great lengths to ensure mankind and all kinds of animals were saved from the flood. Ironically, it is the water that saved them, as it lifted the ark above the flood. “And this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.” 1 Peter 3:21.
