The New World after the Flood
Even though Noah “found grace in the eyes of the Lord” (6:8), he was by no means perfect, as we learn in Genesis chapter 9. It’s amazing how quickly sin brings trouble for those coming in contact with it. When Ham stumbled upon his naked and drunken father, he succumbed to the temptation to do something completely inappropriate; so inappropriate that the writer does not record the details. And so the cycle of sin begins again. And the curse of Canaan brought great trouble upon his descendants.
