Noah Prepares for the Flood
Some people rail against God because of His indiscriminate vengeance towards man in carrying out the flood. “How could a loving God do such a thing?”, they ask. Looking at the situation a different way, we recognize God’s grace in giving man a second chance. Man certainly deserved to receive the full force of God’s wrath (6:5), but God preserved a remnant, choosing Noah as the father of the new earth that would emerge after the flood.
