Alan Taylor is serving as our interim preaching minister during our season of searching for and hiring a new preaching minister. Alan served as Mountainside's preaching minister for almost thirty years before retiring in 2013 and continues to serve our church family as one of our elders. He graciously stepped out of retirement to temporarily fill this role, and we are very grateful to have his years of wisdom and leadership in this transition period. 

Garrett is an Albuquerque native and UNM alumnus. He began his journey with the Lord during his freshman year of college and got involved with the campus ministry. During this time he married Jessie, his high school sweetheart, and began interning at the Christian Student Center. His internship led to becoming the full time campus minister where he served from 2007 to 2024. He began his role of youth minister in the fall of 2024. Garrett also serves as a deacon and is on the board of directors for Ponderosa Christian Camp. He and Jessie have 6 children Ethan, Shane, Timothy, Jace, Serenity, and Jaylee. Garrett is very active and loves adventuring, serving, and discipling alongside the youth of our congregation.
