Leah's Faithfulness

Rachel seems to have fueled the rivalry with her sister (Genesis 30:6-8).  Leah, on the other hand, only lashed out at her sister the one time (30:15) that we know of.  For the most part, Leah’s attitude was one of thankfulness to God for what she had (30:17-20).  So when Jacob wanted to follow God's command and return to his father, it was most likely Leah who said, “Do whatever God has told you” (31:16).  God rewarded the faithfulness of Leah by making her the mother of Judah and Levi, two of the most influential tribes of Israel.
