Ishmael is Born
Hagar put a label on God in Genesis 16:13. She called Him, “the God who sees me.” This was a profound epiphany to her. For the first time in her life she understood there was One who has seen everything she has done, and foresaw her future. We, of course, recognize that our Lord is “the God who sees me,” but we often do not act that way. Would we really live the way we do if we truly believed that God sees our every action?
