Divorce Recovery Class
Wednesday Nights @ 6:00pm
Just a reminder that the Divorce Recovery Class begins at 6:00pm (instead of 6:30pm) every Wednesday night. Registration is $30.
Million Dollar Sunday

There’s an App For That
Available Next Sunday!
We are excited to announce the Mountainside Church App. The App is a helpful tool that includes, a digital bulletin, online giving, a member directory, sermon notes, volunteer schedules, and more! We highly recommend our members download the app to stay informed and use as an aid in our various ministries. More information will be available next week.
NMCCH: Change Cans
The NMCCH has provided us with new Change Cans for you to take and fill. You can find the cans in the foyer.
Every year, our brothers and sisters from the Gracias Choir give us free tickets to their Christmas Cantata performance on October 4th. It is a spectacular show including a musical “Gift of the Magi” and the Nativity Story. Free tickets are available in the church office.
The next Men’s Breakfast is on Saturday, October 19th at 7:30am. Men, please plan on joining us for a great breakfast and time in the Word.
Small Groups Update
· Takn, the young adult small groups, is now meeting on Wednesdays at 6:30 in room 201.
· The Schleyer small group will resume meeting on October 27th
If you would like to donate chocolate to Mountainside’s Chocolate Basket to be raffled at the Bling Show October 18 & 19, please contact Tommye Hanna.
It takes an army of volunteers to put on a successful show. No experience necessary! Just willing hands. If you have even a couple of hours to spare, please consider signing up for a shift to help us with the show. No heavy lifting required. We still need help in these areas:
Set up: Thursday, 10/17, 2:30 - 4:30pm
Set up: Friday, 10/18, 12:30 - 2:30pm and 2:30 - 5pm
Help at the show: Saturday, 10/19, 8 -10:30am and 10:30am - 1pm
Tear down: Saturday, 10/19, 1pm - 3pm

The Albuquerque Christian Children's Home Annual Holiday Affair Benefit Dinner and Auction is just around the corner! Saturday, November 16 at 5 pm at the Embassy Suites. Tickets are on sale now! Talk with an Auction representative from your church to buy tickets, call our office at (505) 898-5520 to purchase tickets over the phone, or go to our website at acch4kids.org to purchase tickets online.
Also, we are looking for baskets to place in our Auction! If an individual or a group from your church would like to do a themed basket we would love it! Baskets are themed in many ways, such as a men's basket, coffee lovers basket, and so much more! Baskets are a fun way to contribute to the Home and provide for our children. Have fun building baskets!
James “Arden” Guernsey, long time member of Penn St. Church of Christ, passed away Monday evening at his home. The funeral will be at French’s on Lomas on Wednesday, Oct. 2nd at 2pm.
Maria Ulibarri was admitted to downtown Presbyterian Hospital on Monday. She is in room 747 A.
Ron Holloman (82), Roger’s father, is out of ICU now, however, his doctors are concerned about his kidneys and liver.
Tom Davis is suffering from some side effects of his radiation treatment and is not feeling well.
Steven West, grandson of Tom and Glenda Davis, suffered a severe muscle strain in his leg. Steven is an award-winning athlete and this injury has affected is season.
Paige Harris, niece of Joe and Dawn Schrader, is having extreme health problems, including congestive heart failure. Paige is a mother to three young children. Please keep the family in your prayers.
David Carpenter is back at Canyon Transitional Rehab after being treated for a bone infection. He is in room 112.
Joe Groom is currently battling shingles, Betty Groom is feeling weak from several health issues, and Terese Groom is dealing with major problems with her foot. They have asked for prayers of strength, comfort, and healing.
Sue McCall is in room 235 at Advanced Healthcare at 2701 Richmond Dr. NE 87107.
Dan Scott continues to need our prayers regarding his health and comfort.

Please plan on joining us for some great study, fellowship and food as we begin a new school year of Small Group Studies. I can’t wait to see what we learn together. I’ll have the food ready, however bring a board game for the first small group of the season.
It’s that time of year! We are headed up to Ponderosa for some fun, fellowship and an all around good time. The cost will be $30 and that includes a shirt , food, and countless memories. We will leave our parking lot at 5:30 on Friday and keep in mind we will eat dinner when we get up to Ponderosa. We will be back at Mountainside at 4pm on Sunday.
